The gospel is simply “good news’!

The good news is that we no longer have to walk in darkness because of sin that made us fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). God loves us so much that He sent his one and only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins!  We can now be transported from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of heaven and enjoy the awesome blessings of God instead of enduring the curses of sin.

How do we do that?  When we repent of our sins, believe in and receive Jesus Christ into our lives, we become born-again believers and the Holy Spirit will give us the witness within that we are children of God.

You might be asking:  Don’t I need to do anything more to receive salvation? No, not at all because we are saved by faith through Jesus Christ who has finished the work of salvation for us at the cross. All we need to do is to receive the gift of salvation by our faith in Him. This is the grace of God!

In fact if you believe this, you can do it right now wherever you are. Simply pray to God using this following paragraph.

“Dear Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please cleanse me of all my sins as I sincerely repent of them and receive you as my Lord and Savior. I ask you to come into my life and make me become a new person as I pray this in Jesus’ name! Amen.”
