Mary Magdalene, the first person who saw the risen Lord, failed to recognize Him. She missed the point of the empty tomb. Like Mary, we may fail to see Jesus for various reasons. Some people can't see Him because of unbelief, and others because they are looking in the wrong direction, while circumstances may cloud the vision of others. Many people are looking for a corpse instead of a living Lord. When recognition came to Mary, she got the point, and she had a new relationship with Jesus and a responsibility to tell others.
