The Nearness of God: Pressing into the PRESENCE of GOD In such times of GREAT SHAKING, God has given us a TREMENDOUS promise in Jeremiah 29:13-14 that He will not only be found by those who seek and search for Him, BUT that He will bring [shub] us back from our captivity. God will RESTORE us to enjoy again His blessing and favour. The gathering of the Israelites from exile is a recurring theme in the prophetic books. Restoration and divine intervention − God gathering His people: a powerful image of hope and redemption.
